What Happened to Summer?
Sep 12th, 2009 by Sharon

9780811862349_normThis summer was a quick blink! I do believe everyone will make up for it by extending the fun, carefree days of summer into October by enjoying visits, cook-outs, walking the beach and lots of good music. Let’s keep it going.

A busy week at Courtyards now that kids are back at school. Moms might have a little more time to relax and pamper themselves. Did a bit of that this week and went for a great massage, a gift we should give to ourselves whenever we can. Our hardworking bodies deserve this care and attention.

Lots of new in this week! Books and more books. Many old favorites like  ”Quiet Mind” and some new like “Paper Yachts” , “Aging with Attitude” and “Birds” by Jeffrey Fisher.

New jewelry in by Liz Robbins with lots of bling! Beautifully crafted as is everything Liz does. Also many new one-of-a-kind pieces by Heather Gavriluk which are always a treat for the eyes the way she creatively combines gemstones, crystal, vintage pieces and whimsy.

Some incredibly colored leather Fall handbags by our friends at Erda just came in. Might make the coming cold months easier to take. As are the fun and funky, many colored five mile long scarves Maryanna makes. She just brought in a bunch to drool over!

So, lots to see. Stop by for a visit. Print out this blog entry  and bring in for 15% off one item through the month of September.   Blessings, Sharon

New Work in at Courtyards
Aug 29th, 2009 by Sharon

It’s been a very busy week with so much new coming in and lots of our main artists creating new and wonderful pieces.

We are so happy, as you will be, that Margaret Furlong’s exceptional designs in porcelain are being created again. We have an extensive collection with more arriving soon. Many of the pieces are perfect gifts for, not only holiday giving, but wedding and baby presents. Truly inspiring work.

Daybooks for 2010 arrived and are a feast for the eyes!

We are happy to announce a new Tiverton artist to all of you, Jane McHenry. She creates very beautiful and very different jewelry using genuine seaglass. Each handcrafted piece tells you the origin of the glass. A must see.

Many new books have come in this week including:
+ Red Sox Nation Crossword Puzzle Book ($7.95) Might be a perfect holiday present for the Red Sox fan on your list.redsoxnation

+ “Simply an Inspired Life Consciously Choosing Unbounded Happiness in Good Times & Bad”  by Mary Anne Radmacher. ($16.95)

A simple little book filled with inspiration from one of our favorite authors.

0763642908.sml+” Oceanology The True Account of the Voyage of the Nautilus”   ($19.99) An imaginative  volume  of incredible words and images. Wow! an impressive visual treat for any age.

I hope you’ll stop by for a visit soon. We’re open every day from 10AM to 5PM, Sundays Noon to 5PM. Check out our new website at www.courtyardsltd.com and let us know what you think. We need feedback, it’s the only way to improve. We’re having fun with it especially realizing all the possibilities than we haven’t  discovered yet!  Looking forward to seeing you or, at least hearing from you.   Blessings, Sharon
